Left to right: Kevin Walker, Dean Jarois, Joseph Gerth, Rev. Douglas Zahner, Nicole Centgraf, Deborah Tauschek

Mr. Kevin Walker has earned two master’s degrees in theology and one in German-English translation. His career has been focused on translating and editing technical texts as well as Early New High German texts, including works of Martin Luther.

Mr. Dean Jarois grew up in Detroit and was an adult convert to Lutheranism. He holds a M.S. in organic chemistry and will defend his Ph.D. in 2025 from the University of Wisconsin – Madison. He hopes to combine his scientific knowledge and Biblical worldview into an accurate, Christian, science curriculum. He lives in Madison with his wife and two small children.

Mr. Joseph Gerth earned his high school diploma right here in Dodge County (Horicon High School), then graduated from Concordia University Wisconsin in 2010 (summa cum laude). He is nearing the end of his time at New Saint Andrews, where he will earn a Master’s Degree in Classical Christian Studies. With almost 15 years of teaching experience with all grades from kindergarten through 12th, he brings a thorough and complete understanding of the education of the child in the classical way. He is excited to be a part of the LHS project, because the need for faithful, confessional, and rigorous Lutheran high schools has never been higher.

Rev. Douglas Zahner is a graduate of Bethany Lutheran College in Mankato, Minnesota as well as Concordia Lutheran Theological Seminary in St. Catherines, Ontario. He has served as pastor of Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church and School in Mayville since 2010. Pastor Zahner loves Lutheran theology, Lutheran music, and Lutheran education; likewise, he is eager to develop a Lutheran high school program for our community.

Ms. Nicole Centgraf leads the busy life of Christian mother, Immanuel Dayschool teacher, and co-owner of a successful vegetable farm here in Mayville. She graduated from Wisconsin Lutheran College with a bachelor’s degree in Literature and a minor in Philosophy. She has a penchant for languages, having studied Latin, Biblical Greek, and Albanian, and enjoys studying classical pedagogy and reading great literature to her children and students. She is currently working on the creation of an integrated classical literacy curriculum that fits the needs of our mixed-grade classroom in our day school.

Mrs. Deborah (Debi) Tauschek is a baptized child of God married to a wonderful husband with two adult children. She holds a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and a master’s in education. Her classical education career began in 2008 as headmaster of Christ Lutheran Academy. From 2014 to 2018, she taught middle and high school math at Faith Lutheran School in Plano, Texas, and from 2020-2023, taught all classes for grades K-5 at Immanuel Lutheran School in Mayville, WI. Deborah now tutors math students of all levels from 3rd grade to college while pursuing her Ph.D. in Educational Psychology from Regent University.
